Instagram Sale: Chinoiserie Chic "Chstuff"

At The Vintage Laundry we're kind of geekin' out over a new venture!  We've curated a small collection of themed vintage goodies that will be available every Friday for purchase over at our Instagram @TVLStudios feed.  Beginning at 10:00 AM this Friday, August 7th we'll launch the first of many weekly sales!  This week's theme is Chinoiserie Chic "Chstuff" So, if you love us more than your luggage and you want to scoop up some stunning vintage pieces, here's what you'll need to do: 1. Have or create an account on Instagram.  2.  Follow both of The Vintage Laundry's Instagram feeds here & here.  3. Pre-register for our upcoming sale here. We would like to encourage our fans to make sure and register so that you don't miss the details of the sale, contest giveaways and sneak peek pics of the vintage goodies that will appear in each sale! 4. And finally, keep an eye on the feed and  comment with "Sold" and your email in the comment section of the post on anything you'd like to purchase.  After that, we send an email with an invoice and then you checkout. . .  easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

Come See Us at Fredericksburg Trade Days!!

Come see me this Friday, Feb. 20th - Sunday, Feb. 22nd at Fredericksburg Trade Days at Sunday Farms in Fredericksburg, Texas.  This show is famous for its antiques, collectibles, tools, crafts, shabby chic, primitives, vintage furniture, candles, clothing and jewelry.  You can shop with over 350 vendors in 6 barns.  Picturesque Sunday Farms is surrounded by local wineries, Lavender trails, the Pedernales River, delicious country peaches, Luckenbach, Enchanted Rock, and hundreds of bed and breakfasts.  Fredericksburg Trade Days also hosts a Biergarten that offers over 50 varieties of beer and live music. 

I'll be in our new spot at the back on row F in space F13.

Picture Perfect

I'm considering kissing both of the inventors of Instagram square on the lips!  I love this app! Lately, many of my mornings (and evenings and afternoons and all the spaces in between) are spent scrolling through the pictures and videos of my fellow vintage dealers, friends and family that I follow. One might think that this app is solely image-based, but, in fact, it has an auditory element, as well… the whooshing noise that my work deadlines make as they go by, for example!

If you are unfamiliar with Instagram, it's an online mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures and videos, apply digital filters to them, and share them on a variety of social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Flickr.  In short, Instagram has increased my engagement with like-minded entrepreneurs immensely.  I can search by keywords (via hashtags) or search users with the name of a person or business.  It's addictive!
